Even by masked Mexican wrestler movie standards this is a pretty crazy movie. That means it's a lot of fun! Santo and Blue Demon team up to bring the smack down on the classic movie monsters. What's not
to like?

Santo Versus the Vampire Women review
Posted : 12 years, 8 months ago on 27 April 2012 06:19 (A review of Santo Versus the Vampire Women)One of the best Santo films. He's called Samson in the English dub but during a wrestling match the crowd clearly chants "Santo". A fun movie. If you have never seen a Santo movie this is a good one to start with.

Three Giant Men review
Posted : 12 years, 8 months ago on 8 April 2012 05:04 (A review of Three Giant Men)Unfortunately this movie only exists in low quality print since the Turks junked a large number of films when the Turkish film industry collapsed a few decades ago. This is an interesting but very strange film. Spiderman is the very evil villain! He wears a red and green version of the traditional costume but his eyes can be scene and he has black bushy eye brows. To put an end to Spiderman's reign of crime and terror the authorities call in Captain America and Santo. Santo is based on the Masked Mexican Wrestler and film star but here
is played by a Turkish actor. At least he resembles the actual Santo. Captain America looks like the way the character appeared in the 1944 movie serial. No shield and no wings on the mask. Spiderman commits several sadistic murders unlike his comic book counter part.
This movie was definitely not authorized by Marvel Comics or the actuall Santo. It's one of, if not the, most strange movies inspired by comic book/superhero characters. It's strangeness is what makes it worth watching.

Godzilla review
Posted : 12 years, 8 months ago on 7 April 2012 10:06 (A review of Godzilla)The Japanese title is actually "Gojira" and that's the monsters name in the original film. A very grim mood for this type of movie and Gojira is truly menacing and a serious threat. Excellent music score.

Frankenstein Conquers the World review
Posted : 12 years, 8 months ago on 7 April 2012 09:59 (A review of Frankenstein Conquers the World)If you are a fan of the Toho Monster/Fantasy movies this is worth a look. I would reccomed the uncut Japanese version over the English language dub. I think it's entertaining but there are some serious lapses in logic. Then again it's a movie about a giant monster called Frankenstein not "The Godfather".

Major Dundee review
Posted : 12 years, 9 months ago on 13 March 2012 04:36 (A review of Major Dundee)My third All Time Favorite Western after "The Magnificent Seven" and "The Wild Bunch". The original version of the film is good but the
restored version is excellent. Great cast. James Coburn's portrayal of Potts, a one armed Indian Scout is a stand out.

The Phil Silvers Show (1955-1959) review
Posted : 12 years, 9 months ago on 12 March 2012 04:14 (A review of The Phil Silvers Show (1955-1959))One of the truly great comedy shows. Phil Silvers is as good as it gets in his iconic role of Master Sergeant Ernie Bilko of the peacetime U.S. Army in the 1950s. Conman extrodinare. I highly reccomend this show and would give it a much higher rating if I could.

with the Mysteyons of Mars.
